You’ve probably got some great family recipes to use with your apples, but just in case you need a few ideas, here you go! These links will take you away from our site to other places we’ve found delicious apple recipes. 

Apple Cream Torte This recipe, adapted from Sunset Magazine by Viktoria’s Table, looks absolutely amazing. 

Apple Walnut Bread This great recipe, from Marin Mommies, is delicious and easy to make!

Apple Pie A classic! This recipe uses a store-bought crust but you can substitute your own homemade version easily. Courtesy of Marin Mommies.

Apple Cake This is a delicious recipe that allows the apples to shine. Use any cooking apple.

Spiced Quince and Apple Sauce In our area, apples and quince ripen at about the same time. This delicious recipe is easy to make and uses vanilla and star anise for a wonderful flavor. You can substitute 1/8 tsp. vanilla extract for the 1/2 a vanilla bean called for in the recipe.

Applesauce Here’s a basic applesauce recipe, though to be honest, we omit the sugar and salt. All you really need are the apples and a little water. If you have a food mill, you don’t need to peel or core the apples. Just run everything through the mill after it cooks to strain out the cores and peels.
